• Kyle Garner

    Kyle Garner, board member and Education co-chair, is the CEO of ORGANIC INDIA USA, a leading mission-driven manufacturer of herb-based wellness teas and functional supplements based on the principles of Ayurvedic medicine.  Kyle joined ORGANIC INDIA USA in April 2015 following 3 years as CEO of New Chapter, Inc. in Brattleboro, VT.  Kyle joined New Chapter in June 2012 following the acquisition by Procter & Gamble.  Under his leadership, the New Chapter brand scaled-up in all facets including sales, marketing, scientific research, certifications, and innovation. He led the process for New Chapter to achieve B Corp certification.  Kyle began his career with P&G working in Consumer and Market Insights for the Fabric Care business in 1998.  He served in a variety of roles on both the consumer and retail sides of the P&G business.  He moved into P&G Health Care in 2009 where he played a leadership role in the development of a Joint Venture with Teva Pharmaceuticals and the acquisition of the New Chapter business.  Kyle earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.  Kyle lives in Boulder with his wife (Maggie), 6-year-old son (Oscar), 2-year-old daughter (Audrey), and giant, fluffy dog (Belle).  In his spare time, he enjoys gardening, beer, and making pickles.

  • Jason Vieth

    Board Treasurer and Pitch Slam co-chair. Jason is senior vice president and general manager of WhiteWave Foods’ Yogurt business. Previously, he headed WhiteWave’s Corporate Strategy, Business Development and Innovation teams, where he played an instrumental role in the IPO of WhiteWave and the subsequent acquisitions of So Delicious, Vega, Wallaby and others. Fun fact: Jason recently completed the Leadville 100 mountain bike race, completing his quest to earn a buckle to accompany the buckle from his Leadville 100 run.

  • Adriane Pilcher

    Board member, Vice President and Education co-chair. Adriane is with Natural Habitats Group, a company dedicated to bringing organic, Fair Trade and responsible palm oil to the market.  Previously, she was director of marketing for the Earth Balance division of Boulder Brands Inc., responsible for managing brand strategy and growth, communications, digital marketing, new product development, community involvement efforts, cause marketing initiatives, and furthering the plant-based diet message. She also founded a marketing communications company focused on natural products. Fun fact: Adriane loves chocolate, and eats it every day (the 70% cacao, organic, fair-trade variety)!

  • John Grubb

    Board member and Membership co-chair. John Grubb is Managing Partner of the Sterling-Rice Group, a Boulder-based, 110 person brand strategy,  innovation and communications firm. John leads engagements across a full range of global blue-chip clients, as well as more entrepreneurial businesses and private equity backed brands. He has deep experience in nutrition and in natural, organic, and functional food and beverages. John’s passion for strategy runs throughout his 30 years of business experience –half of which has been as a consultant, and half in senior executive marketing roles. After earning his MBA from Yale University, he began his consulting career at Bain & Company. Since Bain, he has led the marketing and strategy functions in retail, manufacturing, and food processing companies. John is a frequent speaker on the topics of health and wellness, consumer trends, and business strategy including industry conferences such as The Grocery Manufacturers Association, Natural Products Expo, Healthy Foods Europe, NBJ Summit, and others. He is a member of the Board of Advisors at the Yale Center for Customer Insights.

  • Steve Wangler

    Board member and Spring Fling / Pitch Slam co-chair. Steve is VP of National Sales at The Good Crisp Company .  He previously served as VP of Sales and Analytics at Kevita, VP of Sales for SPINS, the leading provider of retail consumer insights, analytics and consulting. Steve possesses +20 years of sales management experience with leading CPG firms: PepsiCo, Kraft & Coors Brewing Company. Steve serves on advisory boards of a variety of Boulder based emerging brands.

  • Catherine Mangan Walsh

    Board secretary, sponsorship committee, Pitch Slam co-chair. Catherine is Practice Coordinator at Holland & Hart LLP for the food and beverage practice, and co-founder of Yummari, an organic superfood snack company that she and her husband founded in New York City. After attending a Naturally Boulder event, Catherine and her husband decided to move their business and themselves from New York to Boulder. Fun fact: While living in Singapore, Catherine adopted a local stray there from a shipyard and brought her back to the U.S. Lady Coco has now lived both in Manhattan and Colorado.

  • Alex Rumman

    At night, Alex co-chairs, coordinates and curates Naturally Boulder’s buzzing Networking Nights and groovy Spring Fling events. During the day, she prides herself in being the Brand Director for Modern Alkeme, a startup NYC-based detox drink on a mission to uncomplicate cleansing. She manages everything from marketing and customer service to sales and operations and has been called a ‘Swiss Army Knife’ and ‘Jane of all Trades’. Previously Alex worked for retailers Door to Door Organics and Alfalfa’s Market managing marketing, community events and social programming and has been both Senior Account Manager and Creative Director at agencies with a client portfolio of Marzetti’s, Disney Consumer Products, Food For Life and more. Alex is a true CPG mastermind with a holistic pulse on the grocery industry – from agency to retailer to brand, she’s done it all.

  • Susan Graf

    Board member and Executive Forum chair.  Susan is the Vice President, Regional Development Manager at New Resource Bank.  A longtime Boulderite, she has held operations management and human resource positions in a number of area CPG companies. She also served as CEO of the Boulder Chamber of Commerce for eight years, helping to create the Innovation Center of the Rockies and Naturally Boulder.  Fun fact: while guardian of the star on Flagstaff Mountain she converted it to wind power.

  • Christopher Algea

    Board member, morning mingle co-chair and membership co-chair. Christopher is a natural products entrepreneur whose company, Keen One Foods, was hatched in a product development class at the University of Colorado — Boulder in 2007. Keen One offers a retail line of Smart and Simple lunch items, dinner mixes and meal helpers made from organic quinoa, vegetables and specialty grains . Keen One is also now serving schools systems, restaurants, manufactures and regional grocery chains with wholesale organic bulk quinoa and custom  blends for food service.

  • Jennifer Swift

    Board Member: Jennifer joined the board in January of 2016 and chairs the networking night committee.  She is the Marketing Manager for 34 Degrees, makers of the light & crunchy crackers, known as 34º Crisps. She has been with 34 Degrees for over five years rising up in the ranks from Sales & Marketing Coordinator to her current role, Marketing Manager. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a marketing emphasis from the CU Boulder Leeds School of Business. In her free time, Jen can be found trying out a new restaurant with friends, on her yoga mat, cycling on her road bike or traveling. Fun fact: Jennifer spent a semester of her junior year of college studying abroad in Shanghai, China learning Mandarin Chinese.

  • Carlotta Mast

    Board president and Spring Fling and Pitch Slam & Autumn Awards co-chair. As the executive director of content and insights for New Hope Network, Carlotta oversees the content strategy for all of New Hope’s in-person, digital and print products serving suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, service providers and consumers in the natural products industry. She is also co-chair of New Hope’s Esca Bona and NBJ Summit conferences. Carlotta is a frequent speaker on natural products issues and trends, and co-founder of the paleo snack company Wholly Bites. Fun fact: A fourth generation Colorado native, Carlotta’s great grandparents emigrated from Sweden to Boulder in 1876.

  • Chuck Cotter

    Chuck Cotter, board member, Networking Night and Pitch Slam co-chair,  is a Partner and chairs the Food and Beverage Group at Holland & Hart LLP, where he provides advice to companies at all stages of growth, from start-ups to publicly listed companies, helping them successfully raise capital, complete acquisitions and divestitures, and comply with regulatory requirements. His experience at Holland & Hart, a leading Wall Street law firm, and in-house at a major hedge fund allows him to help growth and/or exit-oriented clients determine the best way to reach their objectives — whether that be an IPO, a sale, or other option – and has included deals ranging in size from a few million dollars to over five hundred million. He represents start-up companies from initial formation and financing rounds, through growth stages, and culminating in exit strategies. Chuck represents a substantial number of clients, both small and large, in the food, beverage, and natural products space, such as Boulder Food Group, Purely Elizabeth, ChiaViva!, CleanWell, Dale Katechis and Oskar Blues Brewery, EvoHemp, Hotbox Roasters, the Odell family, and Yummari.  A sample client list can be seen here.

  • Alex Hanifin

    Alex Hanifin, a native of Boulder, CO, is the CEO of Alpine Start.  She serves as the co-Vice President of Naturally Boulder and sits on the Executive Board of Directors for The Growe Foundation.   Alex most recently was on the marketing team at Boulder Brands working on EVOL.  She previously managed Rudi’s under the Hain-Celestial Group.

  • David Winter

    Board member and co-chair for sponsorship, spring fling, and autumn awards.  David is Director of Sales Operations & Strategy for SPINS, the leading provider of retail consumer insights, analytics and consulting for the Natural, Organic and Specialty Products Industry. Stretching back to his days with Wild Oats, David has remained a passionate advocate for enabling the innovation of natural brands via sound, fact-based decision making. Fun Fact: Prior to going vegan, David worked for one summer at the Ben & Jerry’s factory in Waterbury, VT where employees were allowed to bring home up to 3 pints per day and eat unlimited ice cream during shifts.

  • Clif Harald

    Board member and Education Committee Co-chair. Clif has been executive director of the Boulder Economic Council, the economic development arm of the Boulder Chamber, since 2011. He has over fifteen years of economic development leadership experience in Boulder and the Denver metro area.  Previously, Clif founded his own management consulting practice and worked in the private sector in financial services and information technology.
