Meet the Panelists

Andy Thompson
Andy Thompson has over 7 years of experience selling and marketing products on Amazon, working across Vendor Central, Seller Central, and Hybrid accounts in nearly every category. He spent over years working for an e-commerce company, where he ran their sales, operations, trade shows, and customer service departments while also reselling their products on Amazon. After learning the Amazon ‘tricks of the trade’ as a reseller, he joined the digital agency world to help brands utilize Amazon for growth instead of being held captive by it. Andy has spent the last 3.5 years working with brands ranging from startups to multimillion-dollar international businesses, helping them effectively leverage Amazon as part of their digital and omnichannel strategy.

Jen Krupey
Krupey has worked in the marketing, advertising and communications world for over 20 years. A victim of the 1st .com boom, Jen made her way to the agency world where she’s held various leadership positions, overseeing the growth and evolution of digital marketing departments. Four years ago, she was introduced to Amazon and, after diving in, realized the marketplace was going to be a disrupter in the world of branding and advertising. Jen advised numerous natural product companies on their digital marketing efforts before jumping to the brand side. She now serves as the VP of Marketing for Cali’flour Foods.

Simla Somturk
Somturk is the Chief Marketing & Sales Officer at Motherlove Herbal Company, a certified B Corporation helping moms around the world discover the bond between motherhood and Mother Earth with market-leading herbal products for pregnancy, birth, baby, and breastfeeding. Simla believes in the power of using business as a force for good, as well as building trust-based teams and consumer experiences. Her two decades of experience span management consulting for Fortune 500s, a nutrition practice, working with startups and growth stage companies, and commercializing innovation in health care and natural products. Simla received her undergraduate degree in Marketing and International Business from Penn State University and holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business. Family, yoga, reading, travel, and food round out her passions.
