Chuck Cotter leads the national food, beverage and consumer products practice for Polsinelli. With offices in Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York, among others, and soon to have an office in Boulder, Chuck and his team work with over fifty food and beverage brands and a number of food and beverage venture capital funds.
Jennifer Rosenthal is a corporate partner in the Boulder office of KO Firm. Jennifer’s practice focuses on corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity investments, company formations and general corporate representation. KO Firm also represents companies in connection with the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts such as co-packing, supplier, distribution, broker, and other contracts. Jennifer works with clients ranging from startups to public companies and has an emphasis on the consumer products and natural foods industries. Jennifer is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Colorado Law School where she teaches Venture Capital Drafting and serves on the Entrepreneurship Advisory Board for the Silicon Flatirons Center.
Rob Goldstein is a dedicated advocate of Boulder’s natural and organic products industry. From 2010 to 2016, Rob served as a director and officer of Naturally Boulder. In his day job, Rob acts as outside general counsel for food brands—counseling businesses, small and large, on all aspects of operations. Rob is supported by Faegre’s nationally recognized food & ag team—which includes Colorado-based expertise in M&A and private equity transactions, corporate and business issues, and intellectual property. Uniquely, Faegre’s Colorado team also includes expertise on the full range of FDA,
USDA and FTC regulatory issues—including FSMA compliance and other food safety issues.
Matt Abell guides his clients in developing and implementing intellectual property protection and commercialization strategies for building brand and product/service value, with a particular emphasis on food, beverage and consumer product companies. Matt’s practice also focuses on all types of commercial contracts, including co-packer and co-manufacturing agreements, supply and distribution agreements, co-branding agreements, sponsorship and marketing agreements, and proprietary rights and technology licensing agreements. His aim is to provide legal counsel that is synergistic with his clients’ business objectives.
