Matt Clifford is the CEO of CanDo, manufacture of the #1 selling Keto Bar, Keto Krisp. He is the Co Founder of Barnana. A certified B-Corp, Barnana sustainability up-cycles organic bananas to reduce food waste. Matt was the SVP Finance at Events.com and Merger and Acquisition analyst at Bainbridge Capital. Most importantly Matt is a new father convincing himself daily that he is doing everything right but really has no idea what he is doing.

Melissa Hauser, VP Sales & Marketing at Rowdy Mermaid
Melissa Hauser is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Rowdy Mermaid, a rapid-growth beverage brand out of Boulder, CO that creates beverages centered around the healthful benefits of functional botanicals, roots and mushrooms. Sustainability is a key pillar for Rowdy Mermaid, and the brand aims to become the first regeneratively-sourced functional beverage brand on the market.

Through her more than 15 years of natural consumer packaged goods (CPG) experience, Melissa has held strong to her belief that brands can, and should, play a stronger role in consumer health and environmental sustainability. She believes deeply in increasing product availability and building brand and industry equity.

Melissa lives in the beautiful foothills of Colorado with her husband David and two young children, and holds an MBA from the University of Arizona.

Brandon Hernandez, Whole Brain Consulting
Founder/Senior Partner, Brandon Hernandez, is a high-risk quality and food safety consultant with over 10 years of experience in every aspect of food safety, R&D, and sanitation applications. With a B.S. in biology from Colorado State University and experience with Whitewave Foods corporate headquarters (formerly Zateca Foods), Rodelle/Custom Blending and Claremont Foods, Hernandez brings a wealth of knowledge to the table.

His depth of knowledge in the food industry includes: USDA and FDA processing applications, flavor and spice blending, snack and bakery manufacturing, vegetable dehydration processing, fresh-cut produce processing, bottling, harvesting practices, GAPs and frozen recipe meal manufacturing.


HOW DO ONLINE EVENTS WORK?

Participants will be able to see and hear the presenters, but participants’ cameras won’t be on, and their mics will be muted. Participants will be able to communicate with each other using the Chat box and type questions to our featured panelists via the Q&A box.
