Dear Naturally Boulder Community Members, 

I hope this message finds you in great spirits because I’m thrilled to share some truly exciting news that marks a monumental chapter in our journey together. For nearly two decades, Naturally Boulder has been the beating heart of innovation, community, and growth within Colorado’s natural and organic industry. From nurturing farmers market gems like Justin’s, Bobo’s, and Purely Elizabeth into beloved household names, to driving over $3.1 billion in statewide economic impact, our collective efforts have transformed Boulder into a national beacon for natural products.

Now, it’s time to take our impact to the next level. I am beyond excited to announce that Naturally Boulder is evolving into Naturally Colorado! This isn’t just a name change—this is a bold expansion of our mission, our vision, and our reach, embracing the entire state of Colorado. Our goal? To cultivate a statewide ecosystem that not only inspires and supports the next generation of natural and organic brands but also matches that inspiration with significant economic impact.

We invite all community members, both old friends and new faces, to join us on October 23rd for our Expanding Horizons Celebration. This is your chance to be part of something big—to learn more about this exciting transition, to share your ideas, and to contribute to the future of our vibrant community.

Join us at eTown Hall,October 23rd, where the celebration kicks off at 5:30 pm MT with networking and socializing. Mingle with fellow members, meet the passionate Colorado Food Works community, and reconnect with industry leaders. Then, at 6:00 pm MT, we’ll unveil our vision for Naturally Colorado, followed by a dynamic Q&A session where your feedback will be at the forefront. Your voice is crucial as we shape this new chapter together!

We’ll continue to host our beloved signature events like the Pitch Slam and Spring Fling while introducing new, region-specific programs to meet the unique needs of different communities across the state. And we’re strengthening partnerships with educational institutions and key retailers to foster even greater innovation and growth.

What is the timeline for the transition?

This transition will happen over the next 4-6 months. Thank you for your patience as we update emails, website, newsletters, social media and all that jazz. We have an event happening on October 23rd – see details below where we will share more details on this exciting news.  Please join us. 

What are the key highlights of the Naturally Colorado expansion?

  1. Economic Impact: Opportunity to bring the same growth sparked in the CPG food and beverage category to new sectors, including supplements, personal care, energy and agriculture to drive development and job creation
  2. Enhanced Resources and Support: Additional networking events, education programs, mentorship opportunities, knowledge sharing and key partnerships across natural and organic sectors 
  3. Expanded Connection and Collaboration: Content and events to better serve regions across Colorado with partners in Denver, Fort Collins, Pueblo and Grand Junction (Western Slope)
  4. Improved Diversity and Inclusion: Expanded network, including additional BIPOC and women-owned businesses, as well as a statewide job board across levels, functions and formats (virtual) 
  5. Stronger Advocacy Efforts: Upcoming efforts to develop and promote policies that improve the natural and organic industry at a state level, such as sustainable and environmental practices

What does this mean for me?

  • For All Members: We will retain the tight knit feel Boulder family while expanding to create local communities along the Front Range and beyond – bringing in new and diverse discoveries and inspiration for all.
  • For StartUps/Emerging Brands: We are expanding opportunities for education, peer networking, collaboration, and access to funders and service providers.
  • For Established Brands: We are expanding opportunities for industry involvement, mentoring, talent recruitment, and leadership along the Front Range and solidifying Colorado’s prominence in the natural products industry.
  • For Retailers: By expanding our reach, we will provide exposure to new natural brand innovations statewide.
  • For Service Providers: We will now have a larger, statewide network of opportunities for community involvement, business development and talent recruitment.
  • For the Media: We are extending our natural products industry leadership and economic development impact from Boulder to the entire Centennial state

What does this mean for me as a Naturally Boulder member?

  • Your membership will continue on. We will be updating our Glue Up Platform to say Naturally Colorado but you will not have to do anything new or different to your membership.
  • As we expand with a focus on the Front Range you will have more access to a larger community of like minded companies and individuals.  
  • We will offer rotating options for our education and networking events around the Front Range to include Boulder, Denver, Golden, Longmont, Arvada and more.

What does this mean for me as a Naturally Boulder sponsor?

  • Your sponsorship will continue on. We will be updating our Glue Up Platform to say Naturally Colorado but you will not have to do anything new or different for your sponsorship.
  • As we expand with a focus on the Front Range you will have more access to a larger community of like minded companies and individuals.  
  • Opportunity to build statewide community and economic development
  • We will offer rotating options for our education and networking events around the Front Range to include Boulder, Denver, Golden, Longmont, Arvada and more.

Will the rebrand impact signature Events like Pitch Slam and Spring Fling? 

We’ll continue to host our beloved signature events like the Pitch Slam and Spring Fling while introducing new, region-specific programs to meet the unique needs of different communities across the state. And we’re strengthening partnerships with educational institutions and key retailers to foster even greater innovation and growth.

What does this mean to you as a Colorado Food Works member only and not a Naturally Colorado member?  

  • If your CFW membership is up for renewal before December 31, 2024 you will need to renew as a CFW member. If you do not renew before the end of 2024 you will not be extended with a Naturally Colorado membership.
  • As of January 1, 2025 all CFW members will be added to the Naturally Colorado membership platform (Glue Up) and your membership of CFW will transfer to Naturally Colorado for the full year of 2025. A $100 value for $35. 
    • In essence your membership in Naturally Colorado will extend through the full year of 2025. No additional fees.
    • January 1, 2026 you will/can renew as a Naturally Colorado individual member at the $100 annual rate. 

What happens if you are a Colorado Food Works AND a Naturally Boulder/Colorado member.

  • If your Naturally Colorado membership expires prior to December 31st, please renew your Naturally Boulder/Colorado membership.
    • If/when you renew your Naturally Colorado membership, it will be extended through December of 2025 regardless of when you renew. Thus giving you extended Naturally Colorado membership through the entire 2025 calendar year.
  • On January 1, 2026 you will/can renew as a Naturally Colorado individual member at the $100 individual membership annual rate.

What will the process be for the membership transition?

We will load all Colorado Food Works members into the Naturally Boulder/Colorado Glue Up Platform this November.  When we do this you will be notified that you are in the system.
