Business Development Coordinator
The Business Development Coordinator will report to the CEO but assist the director of sales and will be an integral part to helping build and manage the Natural Food Works business. Natural Food works is a manufacturer of premium natural food products. We own two up-and-coming brands: Wildmade, a healthy snacking brand aimed at the whole family, and Tres Latin Foods, a purveyor of premium Latin-inspired entrees and handhelds. We are also a contract manufacturer for a number of brands in the natural foods industry as well as offering private label services to the retail industry. The Business Development Coordinator will cover elements of both sales and marketing while being given and opportunity to learn about growing a food business and building a company from a seasoned team of consumer packaged goods and business professionals. As this is a small and growing business, the business development coordinator will need to wear many hats. As such, duties can evolve and shift based on the needs of the company and the team. This is a dynamic work environment in which the candidate may need to undertake the improvement of existing systems or the development of new ones.
Specific duties include but are not limited to:
• Keep Top of sales funnel full;
• Research and Reach out to potential accounts and clients;
• Assist with new account paperwork;
• Create marketing and sales materials;
• Create, execute and track social media content and consumer responses to drive e-commerce;
• Manage email campaign strategies;
• Create content and use metrics to continually test and improve digital strategies;
• Coordinate with bloggers & influencers to build brand awareness;
• Coordinate and assist with in-store demonstrations & consumer promotions;
• Respond to consumer inquiries and needs;
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Bachelor’s degree (we will weigh experience more than a degree);
• Excellent written and spoken English language skills and the ability to communicate clearly in oral and written form;
• Ability to understand data and apply it to business situations;
• Positive outlook and professional demeanor;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment;
• Ability and comfort with cold calling;
• Ability to be flexible with assignments and multiple priorities;
• Ability to creatively problem solve;
• Excellent attention to detail;
• Comfort with a flat operating structure with commitments to multiple parties;
• Coachability and a commitment to personal and professional growth;
• Solid competency with social media including Instagram, Facebook and Twitter
• Solid competency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word.
