Position Overview

In this role, you will be working on behalf of HAIN as a Category Development Analyst across all of HAIN’s categories to deliver focused category information and shopper insights that drive strategic partnership and growth with our customers. You will provide category and channel expertise through the integration of fact based syndicated data, consumer insights and sales information tools with the purpose of developing strategies and tactics that will drive mutual growth for HAIN and our customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assist Category Development Managers in providing best-in-class category support across multiple categories.
Provide weekly and monthly category reporting utilizing a variety of resources including IRI, Nielsen, SPINS, 84.51.
Be proficient in interpreting syndicated and POS data, along with shopper and consumer research and emerging trends, to build Category Reviews and make fact-based assortment, merchandising, pricing and promotion recommendations to drive category growth.
Must be able to connect the dots in analysis to offer foresight as well as insight.
Provide category insights to HAIN’s internal Category Development Managers
Provide analytical support and guidance for the HAIN sales team.
Proactively develop strong, multi-level collaborative relationships with our internal stakeholders based on mutual trust and integrity.
Influence the strategic direction for HAIN’s core categories at retail.
Become an expert in Natural/Organic/Wellness and provide thought leadership.
Provide fact based solutions & insights to improve execution in promotion, pricing, product selection and placement.


B.A. or B.S. degree in a related field is required.
Minimum 2 years combined practical experience in Category Management, Shopper Insights and working with Syndicated Data.
Strong working knowledge of syndicated data (Nielsen, SPINS, IRI).
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power Point skills.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Previous experience communicating complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels, both in writing and verbally, is required.
Excellent planning, problem solving and analytical skills.
Proven ability to multi-task.
Travel as needed.
Ability to develop and deliver executive presentations and written communications.
