Founded in 1977 with the idea of bringing a superior experience of coffee to the people, we undoubtedly developed into a recognized and respected leader in the coffee industry. Today, our Thornton facility proudly roasts coffee, blends tea, and packages spices. This position is responsible for day-to-day design and production of marketing materials, including signage, point-of-purchase materials, digital graphics, merchandise, advertisements, brochures, menus, posters, newsletters and packaging to support marketing programs across the Allegro family of brands.
Design and produce marketing materials and signage to support global, regional and store marketing initiatives, showing solid understanding of the elements of design, including composition, balance and color theory.
Produce digital press-ready files, based upon existing designs as well as original design work, subject to Allegro brand standards and guidance from marketing team.
Prepare files for print with solid understanding of prepress requirements.
Coordinate print production and ensure quality of printed materials.
Produce creative visual assets for digital communications channels, in coordination with social media and communications team (Instagram Stories, email newsletters, etc.).
Source vendor partnerships for merchandise and promotional materials.
Help prepare and maintain digital image libraries.
Uphold Allegro Coffee Company graphic standards.
Work independently on multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish.
Assist in other projects as needed to support Allegro marketing efforts, including event support, marketing research, and more.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
High school diploma or equivalent and 3 to 5 years of graphic design experience
Ability to work independently on multiple projects from design through production
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to keep projects on track, prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
Commitment to uphold Allegro brand standards
Ability to art direct photo shoots as needed
Knowledge about print production for cost effective design work
Ability to embrace change with enthusiasm and work as part of a collaborative team
Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud Apps, Excel, Word on a Mac platform
Experience working collaboratively within a project management software
Illustration and animation skills a plus
Experience in retail or consumer packaged goods a plus
Awareness of legal/copyright issues that might pertain to projects
Ability to troubleshoot computer problems
Ability to travel as needed
