Cappello’s makes frozen gluten free, grain free, paleo-friendly pasta, pizza and cookie dough. We are seeking to add an HR Manager to our Cappello’s Crew. What You Will Do:
The HR Manager will provide HR support to our manufacturing facility (“Commissary” or “Commie” for short). Areas of support will include: employee and manger communication, recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, workforce analysis, reporting, enforcing policies and procedures etc. This position will help to ensure effective delivery of human resource services in support of business operations and in line with company culture. This position will report to the VP of Finance and Administration with a dotted line to the VP of Operations.
Acts as first-level point of contact for all employee questions related to company policies, benefits, and programs.
Lead all aspects of recruiting, which will include: reviewing and posting job descriptions, managing candidate applications, scheduling interviews, and extending offers.
Scale workforce to align with capacity needs as we grow
Facilitates onboarding process for new hires by partnering with the hiring manager, payroll, quality and IT to ensure the new hire has all necessary access and equipment, and conducts all new hire orientations and training.
Design and implement training program
Conduct employee performance reviews and 90 day evaluations
Refine pay bands and job descriptions
Work with our PEO partner to ensure compliance
Assist in implementation of new timekeeping and attendance system
Serve as liaison between headquarters and commissary, partnering to find ways to involve Commissary Crew in company-wide initiatives.

Who You Are:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
3+ years’ experience in Human Resources
2+ years’ experience in a plant or manufacturing environment
Fluent English and Spanish speaker, including written skills
Interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
Organizational skills and attention to detail
Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Analytical and problem-solving skills
SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
Experience working in a fast-paced environment for a growing business
Experience in a plant or manufacturing environment for a food/beverage company
Other Skills and Abilities:
Ability to partner effectively with other leaders at the commissary (Plant Manager, Quality Manager, Supply Chain Manager)
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Experience identifying and implementing an HRIS system
$65-90k + bonus potential
