Founded in 2013, Rowdy Mermaid Kombucha is a small, family-owned brewery located at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in beautiful Boulder, Colorado. This year, National Geographic named Boulder “Happiest City in the U.S.A.” Our factory is located at the edge of downtown off a beautiful bicycle path with views of the Flatiron Mountains. Rowdy Mermaid is currently the fastest growing kombucha brand in the region with a reach of 14 states with 6 flavors.

We have doubled in size every year, and we plan on tripling in size over the next 16 months. Our brewery operates on a 30 BBL batch ‘just in time’ process. We use a combination of beer, wine, and dairy equipment, including centrifugal transfer and CIP pumps, an automatic packaging line, keg filling and washing, case erectors, electrical pallet lifts, and various filtration equipment.

Our factory is FDA certified and follows strict GMPs and in-house SOPs overseen by QA/QC and Ops. We take manufacturing seriously, even when we need to invent the process to solve a problem.

Lead Brewer
4+ years professional brewing experience (wine, beer, kombucha, cider) in a professional setting with production deadlines. Knowledge of yeast fermentation, temperature control systems, brewery pumps, CIP and tank passivation, sanitation, electric brewery equipment, FDA GMPs, factory SOPs. setting. Full time + some weekend hours.

Cellarman & Assistant Brewer
2+ years experience. Chemical purchasing, storage, management, CIP, tank and brewery cleaning, cleaning schedules, packaging line cleaning and SOP, equipment PM, cooler FIFO. Paperwork and rules driven with a passion for a clean environment. Forecast brewery needs, work with brewers as assistant, grinding flavors, managing storage, boiling water, liquid transfer, inventory.

Factory Operations Guru
5+ years experience. Plan input and output of goods and liquids, packaging, inventory. Requires a keen understanding of manufacturing operations with a specialty in fermentation and an understanding of the process. Fishbowl or manufacturing inventory system management imperative. Management of teams of employees, third party factory audits, organic auditing, daily SOPs, and an inside out understanding of FDA GMPs necessary.
