Rowdy Mermaid is seeking a Marketing Manager for the Rowdy team based at our Boulder, CO office. This position is responsible for growing brand awareness and driving trial for Rowdy Mermaid kombucha and their new sparkling immunity tonic, Adaptonic, across all channels, including digital, social, PR, shopper, influencer and events. This role will also develop a field program, and manage this team. This position will collaborate deeply with the Creative Manager, and report to the Marketing Director. Together they will be responsible for how, where and when our consumers, retailers and stakeholders receive messaging from Rowdy Mermaid. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

DIGITAL/SOCIAL

● Be primary POC with external partners to manage company website content and design, execute DTC strategy with merchandise and offerings, and manage blog posts including PR blog library
● Utilize data analytics to track KPIs and identify opportunities for growth in monthly performance analytic reporting
● Be primary POC with digital agency partner to guide the development of paid social and digital activations
● In collaboration with the marketing team, strategize and create 60-days of social media content; quarterly evaluate new social platforms and opportunities to maximize brand presence
● Manage and execute digital output on all social media channels, including organic, UGC and paid
● Manage and lead audience and community engagement
● Develop and oversee influencer marketing, identifying and engaging with paid and unpaid influencers
● Manage and distribute email marketing
● Ensure brand consistency across all channels including but not limited to email, website, sales platforms, and social media

EVENT MANAGEMENT

● Assist in design and execution of Rowdy Mermaid presence at tradeshows and industry conferences, and manage third party services and timelines to ensure a seamless and on-brand experience
● Screen requests for Rowdy Mermaid’s participation in events, including but not limited to: Festivals, Private Parties, Fundraisers, and Community Events
● Attend local Boulder and Denver networking events to strengthen and expand Rowdy Mermaid’s connections to the local food and business community; identify and implement collaborations and product giveaways with local and regional partners.

TRADE MARKETING

● Work closely with the sales team to identify and act on growth opportunities with distributors and retailers
● Develop relationships with strategic retailers’ marketing teams, and identify new programming opportunities
● Manage digital trade programs like Ibotta and Instacart
● Oversee management and distribution of trade tools including sell sheets, swag, sales decks, and sales collateral
● Lead trade advertising programs

FIELD PROGRAMS

● In collaboration with sales team, develop a field marketing program to improve Rowdy’s positioning in key geographies; develop strategies, tactics and measurable KPIs for the field team
● Translate annual key objectives into executable programs and experiences that build brand image, drive trial, grow awareness, drive word of mouth, and stimulate sales
● Lead the Colorado Market Manager to execute field programs; collaborate closely with regional sales leads to develop relevant KPIs
● Develop a call cycle for demos, events and merchandising store visits

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

● Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in marketing or brand management
● Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and develop relationships that influence thinking
● Strong presentation skills
● Excellent project management and relationship-building skills
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
● MS Office

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

● Team leadership
● Experience with Asana, DropBox, Google Drive
● Passion and experience with functional chilled beverages and CPG
● Has a love for natural products, keeps pace with the industry, and champions brands
● Experience with a high-growth emerging brand
