Metro Manager – Sales & Merchandising

Dirty Hands is a leader in brand building in the Natural & Organic Food Industry. We represent a portfolio of high quality, health-conscious products from category leaders to new and emerging brands. We have dedicated ourselves to mastering merchandising and sales at store level and building brands in the trenches of grocery retail.

SUMMARY:
The Metro Manager will be in our Independent Natural Channel. This candidate will help establish our Chicago Market. The Metro Manager reports to and works closely with the Regional Channel Manager. This person is responsible for general training, growth and accountability of Sales Representatives within their region.

Responsibilities:
– Responsible for hiring, onboarding, training and scheduling Sales Representatives
– Responsible for Performance Management, Annual Reviews and providing consistent feedback
to Sales Representatives
– Maintains energy / team morale levels through company communication platforms
– Tracks store visits and audits Sales Representative execution progress through Go Spot Check
– Facilitates field-level ride-a-longs with Sales Representatives regularly
– Develops goals, provides direction and objective coaching as needed for Sales Representatives
– Conducts weekly team calls to set goals and review brand updates Regional Channel Manager
– Facilitates field-level ride-a-longs with Brand Partners throughout regional accounts
– Covers routes when employees are on vacation or absent

REQUIREMENTS:
– 3+ years Team Management experience
– 3+ years of Sales experience
– 2+ years of Natural Food Industry experience
– Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational and sales skills
– Must be able to motivate a team to ensure a high level of engagement
– Strong interpersonal and customer service qualities
– Proficient with computers (Microsoft Word & Excel)
– Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of current auto insurance and be able to drive a car for
extended periods of time
– Capable of meeting the physical requirements of the position including but not limited to
standing, bending, squatting, reaching, repetitive motion and lifting 40-50 pounds. Must be
willing and able to work in extremely cold environmental conditions (i.e. refrigerated and freezer
sections of retail stores)
– Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
