What You Will Do:
Coordinates and is responsible for the accounting records and internal controls for the company.
Responsibilities include:
Oversees the efficient, daily movements of cash (including responsible for AR/AP).
Provides reports and interprets the results of operations to all levels of management. This includes the formulation of accounting policies, the preparation of financial statements and operating data, the coordination of systems and procedures, and special reports as required.
Responsible for the annual audit and the provision of information to the auditors. Additionally, coordinates investor tax materials if applicable (e.g. K-1’s).
Assures protection for the assets of the business through internal control, internal auditing, and proper insurance coverage.
Monitors credit and collection applications. Coordinates any credit evaluations and assures that receivables are collected on a timely basis.
Coordinates the provision of data to the company’s income tax advisors for the preparation of tax information for the company’s owners.
Files and oversees all state sales and use tax filings and state and county property tax renditions.
Coordinates insurance and sales & use tax audits.
Prepares the annual plan and budget financials with management team.
Drives enhanced purchasing decisions by working with purchasing manager.
Makes decisions on operational changes with significant financial impact to the business.
Identifies process improvement to enhance operational flow and accuracy of financials in order to save cost and make better business decisions
Acts within scope of authority and consistent with company and corporate objectives, guidelines, policies, and practices.
Keeps abreast of current trends and practices in field of expertise. Assumes other special activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed.
Who You Are:
B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
Experience with creating financial statements
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
Results/profit-oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations.
