The Staff Accountant will work hand in hand with the Company’s Director of Accounting and CFO, and is primarily responsible for the company’s bookkeeping activities by completing data entry for financial transactions, creating reports and reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy. The Staff Accountant leads the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger and Cash Accounting functions for the Company to ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner and that financial results are presented accurately and in accordance with GAAP. The Staff Accountant will work directly with various 3rd parties and help lead foundational and strategic projects, including the company’s annual Audit. Additionally, the Staff Accountant works closely with the Operations team by helping to facilitate the complete order to cash process.

This position requires a self-starter with an excellent working knowledge and application of basic to intermediate accounting skills and an understanding of their effects on the financial statements. The applicant performs a variety of complicated tasks, and must be familiar with general accounting concepts, practices and procedures, including safeguarding of assets, internal controls and their impact on operations and the financial statements. Reliance on personal experience and judgment to accomplish goals is required. A wide degree of creativity, flexibility and latitude is expected. Strong computer and spreadsheet skills are a must. The ideal candidate will have a background in general accounting processes, as well as experience in the food manufacturing industry. The position has the opportunity for growth and increasing responsibilities in a rapidly scaling organization.
