Who We Are:
Cappello’s is a Colorado-based gourmet food company specializing in high-end gluten free, grain free products. Founded in 2011 by friends Stacey Marcellus and Benjamin Frohlichstein, the inspiration for Cappello’s was born out of Stacey and Ben’s desire to create a totally unique food company, to be the best at what they do, and to legitimize their penchant for asking strangers to taste their pasta. Cappello’s mission is simple: provide fresh, uniquely delicious options for gourmet food-lovers, healthy eaters and people with dietary restrictions.

What You Will Do:
Lead company-owned manufacturing facility and manage contract manufacturer relationships.
Oversee all third-party co-packing operations and identify and negotiate with additional co-packers.
Anticipate future company needs and preemptively implement systems to stay ahead of the curve while ensuring supply.
Recommend and develop corporate operations policies as the organization scales.
Review and approve cost control reports, cost estimates, and manpower and facilities requirements forecasts.
Support budget setting for the Operations department.
Develop plans for new areas of technology for the manufacturing functions along with sufficient planning for areas that support the mission of the company within Operations.
Oversee procurement, third-party audits, logistics, production planning, quality control, processing, and manage all technical activities associated with new product and packaging development and introduction.
Interface with sales, marketing and finance to ensure strategies meet demand and take a hands-on approach to executing the strategy and addressing real-time problems and opportunities.
Define, lead, and/or participate in projects to improve processes that impact the effectiveness and performance of supply chain, the site, and the business.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement in all areas of supply chain.
Ensure that food safety, regulatory compliance are key pillars of the organization Develop/drive/measure key performance indicators for the organization and present monthly reports on performance to the Co-CEO.
Build out, train, and oversee the Operations team
Who You Are:
BS or BA in Business or related field
5-10 years experience in managerial operations role in a CPG company
Strong analytical skills
Strong communication skills: liaise with leadership team and collaborate cross-functionally
Financially savvy, experience driving cost savings / COGs management
Hands-on production line, manufacturing, and oversight experience
Experience managing co-packers
Production planning experience
Good organizational and management techniques
A track record of success and results
Passion for continuous improvement
Strong problem solver with a “can do” attitude
Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities
Ability to establish credibility and be decisive while upholding the organization’s preferences and priorities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
