From shaping advertiser experience at Facebook to powering the data strategy of the world’s top restaurants to front-line experience putting customer data into action, my passion is for helping growing businesses use data to make better decisions.
What area(s) of focus would you most like to address with your mentees?
How to drive forward their business using marketing data. Most founders wait to long to start using their data. But from as early as the very first order they have data that can help them make better decisions. I want to help my mentees understand how to bring data into their decision making, what they need to set up to collect and action on data, and have a framework for making better decisions based on data.
How do you plan to structure your monthly meetings?
Structured program with tasks that can be done between sessions. Sessions will be broken down into key areas of marketing data that build upon one another: tracking customer acquisition, understanding paths to conversion, identifying specific product trends, and measuring retention. Sessions will go over all aspects of using data from collection to making actionable decisions. We’ll have an explicit focus on the efficient use of data and why data doesn’t need to be perfect to make better decisions. Takeaway tasks and 1-on-1 meetings will be focused on applying the concepts to their own business.
Finally, who would be an ideal mentee for you in this program, given your areas of expertise and experience?
I love that moment when brands first start to understand how their data can be an asset, and that they don’t need to be a numbers geek to understand what all that data is telling them. I’ve built my career helping self proclaimed “non-data people” use data to make better decisions. I honed my data chops managing teams and helping clients in hospitality, restaurants, and software companies before shifting exclusively to CPG 3 years ago. I’m an ideal mentor for any brand with some level of eCom presence who wants to become more comfortable with using their online sales and marketing data and wants to feel confident that they are set up to measure their growth as they continue to build their brand!
