Kelsey Courser
I have spent the last 12 years in the consumer packaged good space ranging from multi-national, mid-stage and early stage food startups. I spent 8 years in brand management at the Kraft Heinz Company working on a variety of brands, categories and business challenges. I even worked with Oprah Winfrey. 🙂 One of my last roles at Kraft Heinz was leading the Springboard Incubator for Early Stage Startups. I became enamored with purpose-led founders and mission-driven brands. Since then I moved from Chicago to Colorado and have been working for mid-stage & early stage startups for the last 4 years.
I am also a certified professional coach who empowers individuals to go after the things they want most out of life, personally & professionally.
What area(s) of focus would you most like to address with your mentees?
I can help with broad business goals, brand / product fundamentals, personnel topics, marketing & innovation
How do you plan to structure your monthly meetings?
I would cater the monthly meetings to the needs of the mentee. Typically, when I work with clients in a coaching capacity, we work together on setting short, medium, and long term goals professionally & personally, and then the individual sessions are oriented around making progress towards those broader goals. We can also discuss ad hoc topics if that’s what the mentee would prefer.
Finally, who would be an ideal mentee for you in this program, given your areas of expertise and experience?
Given my experience working in large, mid-stage and early stage CPG in general management and marketing capacities, I would be happy to work with a variety of motivated folks in the industry.
I have had success with those in their 20s & early 30s who are looking to develop personally & professionally in their current role or looking to make a pivot in their career.
Given my experience running the Springboard Incubator for early stage startups, I also have experience working with founders on tackling an array of business challenges.
Finally, I am happy to work with marketers who are looking for a sounding board as they progress their careers within the function or looking to make a change to a different function.
