Maggie is an Associate Account Director at Haberman, a mission-driven full-service marketing agency. With over a decade of experience in elevating pioneering brands within the natural foods sector—such as Daiya Foods, Nasoya, and Prairie Organic Spirits—Maggie is a trusted partner account leader at the agency. Her strategic insights and ability to fine-tune brand strategy earned her a nomination for Adfed’s prestigious 32 Under 32 award in 2023.

What area(s) of focus would you most like to address with your mentees?

Marketing and leadership & development. I am very passionate about helping young talent grow and become better communicators and leaders in addition to being a better marketer.

How do you plan to structure your monthly meetings?

I actually just completed the fall mentorship program through NB as a mentee. My mentor used a framework that worked really well: we picked a book and committed to reading the chapter between each session and then came ready to the session to talk about it, in addition to any other conversation that was relevant to my growth. I would plan to first understand what my mentee is most interested in and is looking to learn, and organize our sessions accordingly. I do read a lot of marketing and leadership books so if the person I was matched with was interested in these things, I could see this being a framework i’d recommend if they’re interested.

Finally, who would be an ideal mentee for you in this program, given your areas of expertise and experience?

An ideal mentee would be in their first 5 years of their post-grad career, and either working within or interested in marketing. If there is someone who’s really interested in relationship-building, communication and personal and team development, I have a lot of passion and expertise for these subjects.
