I am a 3X Founder who has spent the last 20 years inside numerous Natural Products companies as an operator, consultant, fixer, leader… I love small companies and I love to help entrepreneurs by sharing the experiences and lessons gathered through the years. I have been a large chain retail category manager and I have run every function/department within a small CPG business at some point, so I feel I have a wealth of perspective to assist with CPG businesses. I do a good deal of Advisory Board work, formal Board work and I have mentored at the CSU Global and Sustainable Enterprise MBA program, so I feel I have learned how to be of assistance to entrepreneurs.

What area(s) of focus would you most like to address with your mentees?

I really enjoy the pre-money phase of developing new businesses, but I truly open to helping anyone any way I can.

How do you plan to structure your monthly meetings?

I think I have learned through a lot of consulting and early-stage work that a model with a loose structure is most useful to entrepreneurs, but it is critical to have homework between sessions to assure that there is accountability to the work. Otherwise, it is easy to fall into a pattern of unstructured discussion without action. So, I would envision a combination of a structured, topical assignment at each session, but an open and free-flowing dialogue while together.

Finally, who would be an ideal mentee for you in this program, given your areas of expertise and experience?

Visionary, mission-driven, self-believers who need structure and assistance with tangible markers to progress.
