Celebrate Earth Day by Reforesting Boulder’s Fourmile Canyon!
What better way to celebrate Mother Nature than by enjoying the sunshine, the fresh air, and by planting trees with your fellow Boulderites?!
Date: Saturday, April 20th, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Location: Boulder’s Fourmile Canyon
Get your hands dirty and join Naturally Boulder and One Tree Planted to help us plant 5,000 trees in Fourmile Canyon!
Boulder’s Fourmile Canyon is still recovering from the damage of serious wildfires in 2010. Help us heal our community’s ecosystem, then celebrate the day with some post-planting brews at Rayback Collective.
*We will be planting rain or shine. Incase of extreme weather, the activity will be moved to April 21st.
Note: Children under 16 are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult/guardian. The guardian will need to sign a waiver.
What to Bring:
– Long Pants
– Closed-Toed Shoes
– Reusable Water Bottle
– Sun Protection
– Reusable Bag for Saplings
– Gloves (if you have them)
– Shovels (if you have them)
*Some snacks and refreshments will be provided, but please bring some sustenance of your own!
Where to Meet:
Please park at or near the Justice Center Parking lot (1777 6th Street, Boulder). There will be a shuttle bus running every thirty minutes from 9:00am-3:00pm to take volunteers between the parking lot and the tree-planting site.
