Meet the Panelists
Jamba Dunn
Jamba Dunn is the Founder and CEO of Boulder-based Rowdy Mermaid Kombucha, a botanically-infused, function-forward kombucha distributed in cans throughout 39 states and Mexico. He has a Ph.D. in Philosophy and an honorary black belt in fermentation science. He resides with his family in the mountains near Boulder, Colorado.
Marilynn Martin
Marilynn Martin is an accomplished Sales, Operations and Marketing Executive and industry leader with a proven track record of successfully identifying, building and growing nationally recognized consumer brands. A highly motivated leader and brand builder, she has 32 years of experience in developing and implementing sales, marketing and operational growth plans for startups, mid-sized companies and large corporations. Successful brands Marilynn has worked with over the years include Zone Perfect Nutrition Bars, Centrum Vitamins, CeraVe Skin Care, Prestige Portfolio Brands, Nourish Snacks, Liquid IV, and many more. As CEO at Truth Bar, Marilynn brings her decades of experience in building brands and driving significant growth. To her, managing the uniqueness of the brand proposition is essential to the success of preparing a business for the retail market. Her passion and expertise lie in building the start-up and smaller brands into powerful national and global brands. Before joining Truth Bar, she was a Senior Partner with The Emerson Group for 19 years helping to build brands in the company’s extensive portfolio. Earlier in her career, she held sales, marketing and brand management positions at Smithkline Beecham, Lederle/Wyeth (now Novartis), Reckitt-Benckiser and The Walt Disney Company.
Carlotta Mast
Carlotta Mast is the Market Leader for Informa’s Global Health & Nutrition Network, which includes Boulder’s New Hope Network. Carlotta is a frequent speaker at industry events and conferences and has been interviewed about natural products industry trends and market performance by The New York Times, NPR, ABC News, BusinessWeek and numerous other media outlets. In addition to serving as Naturally Boulder’s board president, Carlotta sits on the board of the Climate Collaborative, whose mission is to leverage the power of the natural products industry to reverse climate change. In 2013, Carlotta co-founded a paleo snack company called Wholly Bites, which hit the market well before Whole Foods Market and other retailers began adding paleo sections to their stores. Wholly Bites was sold in 2016 and is now marketed under the Thrive Tribe brand. Fun fact: A fourth generation Colorado native, Carlotta’s great grandparents emigrated from Sweden to Boulder in 1876.
