The natural products industry is being called to lead right now—to lead in providing the market with food and other products that better support human and planetary health and to lead in building a more just, equitable, diverse and inclusive food and CPG system. Accomplishing these goals will require a new level of leadership that goes well beyond the people at the top of our industry. Everyone will have the opportunity to lead the change we need to see in the world—but how do we do this?

Ash Beckham, an equality advocate and author of the new book Step Up: How to Live With Courage and Become an Everyday Leader, has some answers and will share her thoughts on how we can stop focusing on external authorities and start reclaiming our own ability to create change in our workplaces, industry, communities, and homes.

Our goal is for you to leave this conversation with new ideas and tools for strengthening your own everyday leadership and the inspiration to know that your leadership can and will make a difference.

What’s your best option to get your hands on Ash’s book, so you can read it before this webinar?

1) Certainly you can purchase it from Amazon.

2) … but you can also support your local independent retailers with an online shipping option! Purchases made through Bookshop.org will have a portion of their proceeds sent to local bookstores. (As a buyer, you just can’t pick up your purchase curbside — your book must be shipped to you.)

3) Or you can contact your favorite local bookstore, like the Boulder Book Store, and inquire about their ordering process and pick up procedures. This method directly supports local shops and may allow you to get “Step Up” into your hands faster than the other two options mentioned above.

HOW DO ONLINE EVENTS WORK?

Participants will be able to see and hear the presenters, but participants’ cameras won’t be on, and their mics will be muted. Participants will be able to type questions via the Chat box.
